Bank of India has revised its Marginal Cost of Fund based Lending Rate (MCLR) upward across most tenors effective 1 June 2026. The overnight MCLR increased from 7.70% to 7.80%, while 1-month, 3-month, and 6-month MCLRs each rose by 5 basis points to 8.10%, 8.25%, and 8.65% respectively. The 1-year and 3-year MCLRs remain unchanged at 8.75% and 8.90%. The Repo Based Lending Rate (RBLR) was kept unchanged, while the Fixed Rate Spread (FRS) was also revised for various tenors. This is a routine regulatory disclosure under SEBI LODR requirements.
The MCLR increase signals rising lending costs for borrowers, which could marginally improve the bank's interest income spread. For shareholders, this reflects the bank's repricing decisions in response to funding costs and is a standard operational update with no direct material impact on stock valuation.
