Bank of India reported strong business growth in FY26 with global business crossing ₹16.99 lakh crore, up 14.57% YoY. Global advances grew 15.82% to ₹7.71 lakh crore while deposits rose 13.56% to ₹9.27 lakh crore. Net profit improved 14.85% to ₹10,527 crore. Asset quality saw significant improvement with Gross NPA ratio falling sharply from 3.27% to 1.98% and Net NPA from 0.82% to 0.56%, while provision coverage increased to 93.57%. Capital adequacy strengthened to 18.01% CRAR. However, Net Interest Margin contracted from 2.82% to 2.52% for full year FY26, reflecting margin pressure from lower yield on advances (7.80% vs 8.46% in FY25). RAM segment grew 19.11% and retail advances rose 21.19%.
The bank delivered solid profit growth and improved asset quality, which are positives for shareholders. However, the declining NIM is a concern as it signals margin pressure from the lower interest rate environment, which could limit future earnings growth.
