BSL Limited's board approved the unaudited financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Revenue from operations came in at Rs. 158 crore, down about 3.5% year-on-year from Rs. 163.7 crore in Q1 FY25, though up slightly from Rs. 155.5 crore in the preceding quarter. Profit after tax fell sharply to Rs. 46.52 lakh from Rs. 230.75 lakh a year ago, an approximately 80% YoY decline. Basic EPS stood at Rs. 0.45 versus Rs. 2.24 in the year-ago quarter. The statutory auditors (SSMS and Associates) issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications. Total expenses remained largely flat YoY, indicating that the profit dip is largely a margin issue rather than a cost overrun.
The sharp YoY drop in profits despite stable-to-slightly-lower revenue points to meaningful margin pressure, which is likely to be viewed negatively by investors. The stock may see some short-term weakness, though the sequential revenue uptick offers a small positive signal.
