Central Bank of India reported strong provisional business numbers for Q3 FY 2025-26. Total Business grew 15.80% year-on-year to ₹7,74,309 crore. Total Deposits rose 13.23% YoY to ₹4,50,536 crore, while Gross Advances jumped 19.57% YoY to ₹3,23,773 crore, outpacing deposit growth. CASA Deposits grew 8.53% YoY to ₹2,11,745 crore, but the CASA share slipped to 47.12% from 49.18% a year earlier. The Credit-to-Deposit (CD) Ratio improved sharply to 72.06% from 68.25% a year ago, reflecting stronger loan growth. Figures are provisional and subject to statutory audit review.
Strong double-digit growth in advances and overall business is a positive signal for shareholders, indicating healthy loan demand and balance sheet expansion. However, the continued decline in CASA share may raise concerns about the bank's cost of funds, which could pressure margins going forward.
