Central Bank of India has informed the stock exchanges about the appointment of Shri Baldeo Purushartha as a Non-Executive (Government Nominee) Director on its Board, effective July 24, 2025. He takes over from the outgoing nominee, Shri Hardik Mukesh Sheth, based on a Central Government notification. Shri Purushartha is a 2002-batch IAS officer currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, and has held various senior roles in the Punjab and central governments. He also represents the Government of India on boards of several institutions including IIFCL, IRSDCL, IRFC, NIIFTL, and NLMCL. He holds a postgraduate degree in History from the University of Delhi and is not debarred by SEBI from holding a directorship.
