Central Bank of India reported its Q1 FY2025-26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) standalone and consolidated financial results, approved at the board meeting on July 19, 2025. Standalone net profit rose to ₹1,16,869 lakh, up about 33% from ₹87,994 lakh in the same quarter last year, driven by a 15.6% jump in operating profit to ₹2,30,398 lakh and a sharp drop in provisions. Total income grew modestly to ₹10,37,412 lakh (up ~9.2% YoY). Asset quality improved significantly, with Gross NPA ratio falling to 3.13% (from 4.54%) and Net NPA ratio at 0.49% (from 0.73%). Capital Adequacy Ratio under Basel III strengthened to 17.66% (from 15.68%). The Board also declared an interim dividend of ₹0.20 per share (2%) on face value of ₹10.
Strong earnings growth, improved asset quality, and healthy capital ratios are positive for shareholders. The 2% interim dividend provides a modest income return, while improved NPA metrics and higher capital adequacy signal continued balance sheet strengthening. PAT growth above 25% YoY is a key positive signal.
