Central Bank of India released its FY26 corporate presentation showing strong performance across key metrics. Net profit grew 15.43% YoY to ₹4,369 crore, driven by robust loan growth of 18.76% in advances reaching ₹3.44 lakh crore. Total business crossed ₹8 lakh crore milestone. Asset quality significantly improved with Gross NPA reducing from 3.18% to 2.67% and Net NPA at just 0.49%. The bank reported its 20th consecutive quarter of sustained profitability. CASA deposits stand at ₹2.20 lakh crore (47.30% of total deposits). Capital adequacy remains strong at 17.91% CRAR with CET1 at 15.61%. However, Net Interest Margin compressed to 3.07% from 3.40% in FY25. The bank operates 4,585 branches serving 8.26 crore active customers and has launched 37 digital lending journeys on its platform.
The bank demonstrates improving fundamentals with strong profitability growth and asset quality enhancement. However, declining NIM indicates margin pressure which could affect future earnings. Investors should monitor cost-to-income ratio optimization as management targets operational efficiency.
