DCB Bank shared its Q1 FY26 investor presentation reporting a balance sheet of INR 77,395 crore, up 19.96% YoY, driven by advances of INR 51,215 crore (+21.42% YoY) and deposits of INR 62,039 crore (+20.02% YoY). Profit after tax rose 20% YoY to INR 157 crore, while NIM softened to 3.20% (from 3.39% in Q1FY25) and ROA came in at 0.81%. Asset quality was broadly stable with gross NPA at 2.98% and net NPA at 1.22%, supported by capital adequacy of 16.66%, though fresh slippages rose to 4.59% and credit cost climbed to 0.59%. Management outlined medium-term targets including ROA of 1%+, ROE near 14%, GNPA below 2.50%, NNPA at 1.00%, and doubling the balance sheet every 3-4 years. The presentation also reaffirmed promoter AKFED's plan to invest up to USD 10 million via a preferential equity allotment approved earlier.
Strong advances and deposit growth is positive, but rising slippages, higher credit costs, and a softening NIM may weigh on near-term profitability. The medium-term roadmap (double balance sheet in 3-4 years, ROE near 14%, steady capital position) is constructive for long-term shareholders.
