The Hon'ble High Court of Karnataka ruled in favour of Embassy East Business Park Limited (EEBPL), a subsidiary of Embassy Developments Limited, on May 12, 2026. The court allowed EEBPL's writ petition and set aside the KIADB order dated March 16, 2026, which had directed resumption of approximately 78 acres of land in Kadugodi Industrial Area, Bengaluru. This means EEBPL continues to hold and retain possession of the land, and the adverse KIADB order stands quashed. The company states the formal signed copy of the order is awaited. Financial impact, if any, is not yet quantifiable.
This is a positive legal development as the company's subsidiary retains a significant land asset of 78 acres. The complete quashing of the KIADB order removes uncertainty around a potential asset loss, which could be material given the size of the land holding in a key location like Bengaluru.
