G R Infraprojects has emerged as the lowest (L1) bidder for establishing a transmission system to evacuate power from renewable energy projects in Rajgarh (1500 MW) SEZ Phase III and Neemuch (1000 MW) SEZ Phase II in Madhya Pradesh, awarded through tariff-based competitive bidding. The project involves building substations, 400/220 kV transformers, and multiple 400 kV transmission lines on a BOOT (Build, Own, Operate, Transfer) basis. Annual transmission charges are Rs. 3,670.73 million (~Rs. 367 crore) with a 35-year O&M period, and construction must be completed within 24 months of acquiring the special purpose vehicle (SPV). The bid was conducted by REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited, a government entity, via e-reverse auction on 13th August 2025.
This is a major new order win that adds a long-term recurring revenue stream (Rs. 367 crore per year for 35 years) plus a sizeable upfront EPC construction component, which is positive for order book and future earnings visibility.
