The Board of Directors of GFL Limited, at its meeting on 13 August 2025, approved unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter ended 30 June 2025. On a standalone basis, total income rose to Rs. 92 lakhs from Rs. 81 lakhs in Q1 FY25, with profit after tax improving to Rs. 44 lakhs from Rs. 38 lakhs. On a consolidated basis, the company reported a loss of Rs. 816 lakhs, narrowing sharply from Rs. 2,652 lakhs loss in the same quarter last year. The improvement was largely driven by a smaller share of losses from its associate PVR INOX, which fell to Rs. 1,004 lakhs from Rs. 3,040 lakhs YoY. Statutory auditor Patankar & Associates issued an unmodified (clean) limited review report.
Standalone numbers show steady, modest growth in income and profits, signalling GFL's core operations remain stable. However, the consolidated bottom line stays in the red due to ongoing losses at cinema chain associate PVR INOX. The sharp narrowing of these associate losses is a positive signal for shareholders, but consolidated EPS remains negative at Rs. 0.74 per share versus a positive Rs. 0.04 on a standalone basis.
