GMR Airports filed its April 2025 monthly traffic data, reporting total passenger traffic of 10.35 million (excluding Cebu), up 8.4% year-on-year, with domestic traffic up 7.6% and international traffic up 10.7%. For FY25, the company crossed 120.58 million passengers and 0.74 million aircraft movements, both record highs. Delhi Airport handled 6.67 million passengers in April (+6.2% YoY) and 79.3 million in FY25 (+7.9% YoY), while also crossing 1 million metric tonnes of cargo for a second straight year. Hyderabad Airport posted its strongest-ever numbers with 2.65 million passengers in April (+19.1% YoY) and 29.5 million for FY25 (+18% YoY). Mopa (Goa) and Medan (Indonesia) were softer, with Medan's April traffic down 3.7% YoY and Mopa's Q4 domestic traffic affected by seasonality and the Maha Kumbh period.
Record passenger and cargo volumes at the Delhi and Hyderabad flagship airports reinforce revenue visibility from aeronautical charges, retail, and cargo, and are broadly positive for FY26 earnings momentum. Investors should note softness at international asset Medan, though its overall contribution is small relative to the Indian portfolio.
