Hyundai Motor India submitted its Q1 FY26 Investor Presentation to the exchanges. Revenue stood at ₹173,442 Mn, down from ₹179,403 Mn in Q4 FY25 (a QoQ decline), though higher than ₹164,129 Mn in Q1 FY25 on a YoY basis. EBITDA was ₹23,403 Mn with a 10.4% margin, EBIT was ₹18,113 Mn at 13.5%, and PAT was ₹14,897 Mn at 8.5% — all margins softened slightly QoQ. Total vehicle sales reached 192,055 units (149,455 domestic, 42,600 exports), with domestic share rising to 76.3%. The presentation also highlights milestones such as the i10 brand crossing 3 million units, sunroof cars surpassing 1.1 million, the start of engine production at the Pune plant, and the unveiling of a hydrogen research centre with IIT Madras. An Investor Day has been scheduled for October 15, 2025, in Mumbai.
The QoQ drop in revenue and margins despite steady volumes points to pricing or cost headwinds in the quarter, which is a mild negative for near-term sentiment. However, the Pune plant start-up, hydrogen innovation initiative, and the upcoming Investor Day offer forward-looking positives for long-term investors.
