Hyundai Motor India shared its Q4FY25 and FY25 investor presentation alongside audited results. FY25 revenue stood at ₹69,829 crore (down 0.9% YoY), with EBITDA margin improving to 13.1% (from 12.9%) and PAT at ₹6,060 crore (margin 8.5%). Q4FY25 revenue was ₹17,671 crore (up 0.4% YoY) with EBITDA margin of 14.3% and PAT of ₹1,677 crore. Domestic sales fell 2.6% to 6.15 lakh units in FY25, while SUV share rose to 69%. The Creta Electric (first indigenous EV) was launched in January 2025 and localization reached 82%. For FY26, management flagged weak domestic demand and guided for exports-led growth of 7–8% to offset domestic softness. They aim to maintain double-digit EBITDA margins but warned of PBT pressure from new plant depreciation and ~₹7,000 crore in strategic investments. A bigger 'HMI Investor Day 2025' is teased with 26 model launches planned.
Mixed signals for shareholders: margin guidance is 'maintain' rather than 'expand,' with explicit caution on new plant depreciation hitting profits and continued weak domestic demand. However, the EV push, rising SUV mix, localization gains, and a heavy 26-launch pipeline offer longer-term growth optionality. Near-term stock reaction may be neutral-to-negative given margin pressure warnings, but the upcoming Investor Day could be a positive catalyst.
