IDFC First Bank's Board committee has approved the allotment of 55,02,631 equity shares (approximately 5.5 million shares) of ₹10 face value each to eligible employees who exercised their vested stock options under the IDFC FIRST Bank Employee Stock Option Scheme (ESOS). Following this allotment, the bank's total paid-up equity capital increased from ₹86,02,81,23,010 to ₹86,08,31,49,320, representing an addition of 55,02,631 shares to the existing 8,60,28,12,301 shares. The newly allotted shares will rank equally (pari-passu) with existing equity shares in all respects. This is a routine corporate action as part of the bank's employee compensation programme.
The dilution is minimal at approximately 0.06% of total shares outstanding, with no material impact on existing shareholders. The exercise reflects employee participation in the ESOS scheme.
