India Shelter Finance Corporation reported Q2FY26 AUM of Rs. 9,252 Crs, up 31% year-on-year, with disbursements of Rs. 931 Crs (up 12% YoY). Profit after tax grew 35% YoY to Rs. 122 Crs, while RoE stood at 17.0% and RoA at 5.8%. Net interest spread held steady at 6.4% and cost of funds improved 10 basis points quarter-on-quarter to 8.5%, with Opex-to-AUM ratio also improving to 4.1% from 4.4% a year ago. Asset quality remained stable, with Gross Stage 3 assets at 1.2%, Net Stage 3 at 0.9%, and credit cost at 0.5%. The company added 9 new branches in the quarter, taking the network to 299 branches across 15 states, with total employee strength at 4,276. For H1FY26, PAT grew 39% YoY to Rs. 241 Crs on AUM growth of 31% YoY.
A clean, broad-based quarter with healthy AUM and profit growth, improving cost ratios, and steady asset quality is likely to be viewed positively by investors. The improvement in cost of funds and operating efficiency should support sustained profitability, though spread remaining flat limits further margin upside.
