Indian Bank has delivered a strong FY 2025-26 with total business crossing ₹14.95 lakh crore, up 12.79% YoY. Deposits grew 12.29% to ₹8.28 lakh crore and gross advances rose 13.43% to ₹6.67 lakh crore. Net profit increased 11% to ₹12,156 crore, while operating profit stood at ₹19,916 crore. The bank achieved a record-low Net NPA of 0.15% (down 4 bps) and Gross NPA improved sharply to 1.98% from 3.09% (down 111 bps). ROA remained healthy at 1.31% and Return on Equity was 19.53%. The Provision Coverage Ratio improved to 98.3%. RAM segments (Retail, Agriculture, MSME) grew 15.18% YoY and now account for over 65% of domestic credit. The board recommended a dividend of ₹18.25 per share.
The bank shows robust growth across business parameters with significant improvement in asset quality and profitability. The compressed NIM (3.24% vs 3.41% prior year) signals margin pressure from the competitive rate environment, but strong credit growth and near-record low NPAs support a positive outlook for shareholders.
