Indian Bank reported a strong set of audited numbers for Q4 FY25 and the full year. Net profit jumped 32% year-on-year to ₹2,956 crore in Q4 FY25, while for the full year it rose 35% to ₹10,918 crore. Net interest income grew 6% to ₹6,389 crore in Q4 and 8% to ₹25,176 crore for FY25, with operating profit up 17% and 13% respectively. Asset quality improved sharply, with gross NPAs falling to 3.09% (from 3.95%) and net NPAs to 0.19% (from 0.43%). Capital adequacy strengthened to 17.94%, RoA improved to 1.37% in Q4, and EPS rose 32% to ₹87.78, supported by 10% growth in gross advances to ₹5.88 lakh crore and 7% deposit growth.
This is a clearly positive result for shareholders, showing strong profit growth, improving asset quality, healthy capital buffers, and expanding advances. The combination of higher RoA, RoE, lower NPAs, and a falling cost-to-income ratio points to sustained operational momentum, which is likely to be viewed favourably by the market.
