Indian Bank's Asset Liability Management Committee has reviewed and revised its Treasury Bills Linked Lending Rates (TBLR). The short-term TBLR has been reduced by 5 basis points across two tenors: rates for ≤3 months decreased from 5.30% to 5.25%, and for >3-6 months from 5.50% to 5.45%. Medium-term TBLR (above 6 months) remains unchanged at 5.60%. The bank clarified that MCLR, Base Rate, BPLR, Policy Repo Rate, and RBLR all remain unchanged. The revised TBLR takes effect from 3 May 2026.
The rate revision is minor and applies only to short-term TBLR, which may marginally reduce interest income on certain linked loans. Overall impact on the bank's profitability or shareholder returns is expected to be minimal.
