Indian Overseas Bank filed the transcript of its Q4 FY25 earnings conference call held on May 2, 2025. For FY25, the bank reported a net profit of INR3,335 crore, up 25.56% year-on-year, with Q4 net profit hitting a record INR1,051 crore. Business mix crossed INR5.61 lakh crore (11.30% YoY growth), gross advances grew 14.15% to INR2.50 lakh crore, and deposits rose 9.11% to INR3.12 lakh crore. ROA crossed 1% for the first time at 1.12%, ROE stood at 16.28%, and cost-to-income ratio improved sharply from 56% to 47.14%. Asset quality strengthened with GNPA falling to INR5,348 crore and net NPA at 0.37%, despite the INR2,332 crore MTNL slippage fully provisioned. Management guided for 14-15% credit growth, 12-13% deposit growth, and NIM around 3.5% for FY26.
This is a transcript submission of an already-held call, so no new information for the market, but it provides detailed confirmation of IOB's strong turnaround with record profitability and improving asset quality. Management acknowledged NIM pressure from repo rate cuts despite mitigation efforts, and the planned INR1,400 crore QIP to dilute government stake from 96% to 94% may cause modest dilution for existing shareholders.
