IndoStar Capital Finance reported consolidated AUM of INR 11,053 crores (up 26% YoY) and stand-alone AUM of INR 7,963 crores (up 23% YoY), with consolidated net profit of INR 36 crores for Q4 FY25. The company guided for AUM growth of 12-15% in FY26, with management citing selective credit tightening and collection softness as reasons for the modest target. A new micro LAP business launched in Tamil Nadu aims to cross INR 300 crore AUM by March 2026, and the company plans to expand this to more states. Management targets reducing cost of funds to around 9% over time, replacing INR 800 crores of 12% debt with 10% debt in Q1 FY26 (a 200 bps reduction). Niwas Housing Finance (HFC subsidiary) AUM grew 36% YoY to INR 3,091 crores, and the HFC sale is awaiting NHB approval with proceeds expected this quarter. Asset quality showed gross Stage 3 at 4.52% and net Stage 3 at 2.46%.
Positive signals from cost of funds reduction roadmap, NIM improvement to 6%, and multiyear profitability track record. However, modest AUM growth guidance of 12-15% and ongoing collection softness in CV business may temper near-term optimism. Expected HFC sale proceeds will boost capital and reduce borrowing costs further.
