IndusInd Bank shared its Q1FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) business update. Net Advances stood at Rs. 3,34,477 crores, down 3.9% year-on-year and 3.1% from the previous quarter. Total Deposits were Rs. 3,97,233 crores, marginally lower by 0.3% YoY and 3.3% QoQ. The CASA ratio fell sharply to 31.49% from 32.81% in March 2025 and 36.67% a year ago, indicating a continued shift toward term deposits. Corporate Banking advances contracted 14.4% YoY and 6.2% QoQ, while Consumer Banking grew 4.8% YoY but slipped 0.9% sequentially. The Bank's Liquidity Coverage Ratio remained comfortable at 145.26% as of June 30, 2025. The figures are subject to limited review by statutory auditors.
Weak Q1 trends – shrinking advances, falling CASA ratio, and a double-digit YoY decline in corporate lending – are likely to be viewed negatively by investors and may put pressure on the stock. However, strong liquidity and steady retail deposits offer some comfort.
