Jana Small Finance Bank reported a strong Q4 FY26 with PAT at INR140 crores, meeting all guidance it had set. Credit quality has clearly improved with slippages at INR334 crores (lowest since Q1 FY20), SMA down to 3.66% (below pre-stress levels), and net credit cost reduced to 0.47% from 0.79% in Q3. Asset growth was strong at 23% YoY with secured assets growing 28%. Deposits rose 23% to INR35,784 crores and cost of funds declined 50 bps for the full year to 7.46%. Gold loans grew 140% to INR2,358 crores and used car business reached INR25 crores monthly disbursements. The bank guided for FY27 loan growth of 19-21%, deposit growth of 23-25%, and PAT growth of 80%+ YoY. First claims from the CGMFU guarantee program are expected in Q3 FY27. Management noted they are rewatchful on MSME segment due to potential Middle East war spillover effects.
The bank has exited the MFI stress period with improved credit metrics and strong growth. Management is guiding for 80%+ PAT growth in FY27, indicating strong operating leverage ahead as cost growth moderates and NIM improves.
