Karur Vysya Bank reported its highest ever annual profit of Rs 1,942 crore for FY25, up about 21% from Rs 1,605 crore in FY24. Q4 FY25 profit stood at Rs 513 crore, up 12.5% year-on-year. Total business crossed Rs 1.87 lakh crore, with deposits crossing the Rs 1 lakh crore mark (up 14.55%) and advances growing 13.53% to Rs 84,491 crore. The bank delivered 20% growth in its RAM (Retail, Agriculture, MSME) loan book, and net interest income rose 11.6% to Rs 4,260 crore for the year. Asset quality improved sharply, with gross NPAs falling to 0.76% (from 1.40%) and net NPAs at 0.20%, while capital adequacy remained strong at 18.17% with ROA at 1.73% and ROE at 17.21%.
Record profits, healthy double-digit growth in both deposits and loans, and a sharp improvement in asset quality signal strong operational performance, which is positive for shareholders. The slight dip in net interest margin (4.09% vs 4.20%) is a minor watchpoint, but overall the results reinforce KVB's position as a well-managed, well-capitalized mid-sized bank.
