Karur Vysya Bank (KVB) has inaugurated a new branch in Kochadai Village, Madurai West, raising the city's branch count to 48. With this addition, KVB's total branch network across India now stands at 896, supported by over 2,226 ATMs and cash recyclers. The new branch will offer a full suite of banking services including savings and current accounts, deposits, and retail, institutional, and consumer loans. As of September 30, 2025, the bank's total business stood at Rs. 2,03,216 crore, with deposits at Rs. 1,10,492 crore and advances at Rs. 92,724 crore. KVB reported a net profit of Rs. 574 crore for Q2 FY26, with a healthy net NPA ratio of just 0.19%.
This is a routine network expansion that supports KVB's financial inclusion and growth strategy, especially in South India. While the strong Q2 FY26 earnings and low NPAs reflect solid financial health, a single branch opening is unlikely to materially move the stock price.
