Karur Vysya Bank (KVB) inaugurated three new branches on August 11, 2025, located in Trichy (Tamil Nadu), Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh, with an ATM), and Thane (Maharashtra). The branches will offer a full suite of banking services including savings and current accounts, deposits, loans, retail, institutional, and consumer lending products. MD & CEO Ramesh Babu stated the bank opened 50 new branches last financial year and plans further expansion this year to support its growing customer base. As context, KVB reported total business of Rs. 1,96,024 crore as of June 30, 2025, with deposits of Rs. 1,06,650 crore and advances of Rs. 89,374 crore. Q1FY26 net profit stood at Rs. 521 crore with a strong net NPA of just 0.19%.
This signals continued organic branch network expansion across diverse geographies, supporting deposit and loan growth. For shareholders, it reflects management's execution on growth strategy, though the impact on the stock is likely neutral as branch additions are part of routine operations already communicated previously.
