LIC Housing Finance shared its Q4 and full-year FY25 investor presentation. Full-year profit after tax grew 14% to Rs. 5,429 crore, with Q4 PAT jumping 25% to Rs. 1,368 crore. Loan portfolio crossed Rs. 3.07 lakh crore, up 7% year-on-year, while FY25 disbursements rose 9% to Rs. 64,022 crore. Asset quality improved sharply, with Stage 3 loans falling to 2.47% from 3.31% a year ago. However, net interest margins shrank to 2.73% for FY25 from 3.08% in FY24, pulling down net interest income by 6%. The board proposed a 500% dividend, or Rs. 10 per share, up from Rs. 9 last year. Return on equity held steady at 16% and EPS rose to Rs. 98.70 from Rs. 86.63.
Shareholders get a healthy dividend hike and strong profit growth, but the continued NIM compression and rising operating expenses are watchpoints that could pressure future earnings even as the loan book and asset quality stay strong.
