LIC Housing Finance has submitted its Q1 FY26 investor presentation to the exchanges. Net profit rose 5% year-on-year to Rs 1,360 crore, while total revenue grew 7% to Rs 7,233 crore. Loan portfolio expanded 7% to Rs 3.10 lakh crore, crossing the Rs 3 lakh crore milestone, with individual home loans up 7% at Rs 2.62 lakh crore. Net Interest Margin (NIM) compressed to 2.68% from 2.76% a year ago, though spreads widened slightly to 2.10% from 2.07%. Asset quality improved meaningfully, with Stage 3 loans falling to 2.62% of exposure from 3.30%, and Return on Equity stood at 15%.
Steady loan growth and better asset quality are positives, but the NIM compression and slight dip in RoE point to margin pressure. The stock may react neutrally to mildly negatively given the mixed set of numbers.
