LIC Housing Finance Limited has informed the stock exchanges that it has surrendered its Certificate of Registration as a Point of Presence (PoP) and been de-registered as an Aggregator under the NPS-Lite Swavalamban Scheme. The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) communicated this de-registration via a letter dated 18th July 2025, effective from 9th July 2025. NPS-Lite Swavalamban is a government-backed pension scheme for the unorganised sector. This move simply means LIC Housing Finance has exited the role of distributing/aggregating this particular pension scheme and is no longer authorised to operate as a PoP for it.
This is a routine administrative exit from a niche pension distribution role and is not material to LIC Housing Finance's core home loan business. It should have no meaningful effect on the company's earnings, operations, or shareholder value.
