LIC Housing Finance reported standalone net profit after tax of Rs 5,595.15 crore for FY 2025-26, up 3.1% from Rs 5,429.02 crore in the previous year. Total revenue from operations grew 2.6% to Rs 28,764.63 crore. The company recommended a dividend of Rs 10 per equity share (500%), same as last year. Asset quality improved with GNPA declining to 2.15% from 2.47%, and NNPA to 1.08% from 1.22%. However, impairment on financial instruments doubled to Rs 554.03 crore from Rs 261.10 crore in the prior year. The board also appointed Sandeep Kumar as Chief Operating Officer. Auditors issued an unmodified opinion.
Profit growth remains modest at 3.1% despite revenue increase. The sharp doubling of impairment charges warrants monitoring as it may indicate stress in the loan book. The unchanged dividend provides stability but growth outlook appears subdued.
