LIC has submitted its Q1 FY26 standalone and consolidated unaudited financial results, reviewed by joint auditors V. Sankar Aiyar & Co. and Chokshi & Chokshi LLP with a clean limited review opinion. Standalone Net Premium Income grew ~4.8% YoY to ₹1,19,200 crore, while Profit After Tax rose ~5% to ₹10,986 crore, translating to EPS of ₹17.37 (vs ₹16.54 in Q1 FY25). Solvency Ratio improved to 2.17 from 1.99 a year earlier, indicating stronger capital adequacy. The Board had earlier recommended a final dividend of ₹12 per share for FY25, pending shareholder approval. The auditors flagged three emphasis-of-matter items relating to ongoing amortisation of family pension contributions and additional pension liabilities spread over coming quarters.
Modest top-line and profit growth with improved solvency suggests operational stability, though special amortisation charges on pension liabilities will continue to weigh on surplus in coming quarters. Final dividend of ₹12 per share provides income to shareholders subject to AGM approval.
