MAS Financial Services Limited has invested approximately Rs. 25 crores in its wholly-owned subsidiary, MAS Rural Housing & Mortgage Finance Limited (MRHMFL), by subscribing to a rights issue of 12,67,170 equity shares at Rs. 10 face value plus a premium of Rs. 187.29 per share. This acquisition increases MAS Financial's stake in the subsidiary to 1.20% of its total equity share capital, though MRHMFL remains a subsidiary. The funds will be used by MRHMFL to meet working capital needs and support business expansion in housing finance, particularly for middle and lower income segments in semi-urban and rural India. MRHMFL reported a turnover of Rs. 78.77 crores in FY25 and a net profit of Rs. 875.66 lakhs as of December 2025. The transaction was approved by the Audit Committee and Board on January 28, 2026, and is classified as a related party transaction done at arm's length.
This is a routine capital infusion into an existing subsidiary and is not expected to materially impact the stock price. It signals management's continued commitment to growing the housing finance business, which is a key growth vertical for MAS Financial.
