Moneyboxx Finance, a BSE-listed NBFC focused on lending to small and micro entrepreneurs in semi-urban and rural India, has raised a term loan of INR 340 million from the State Bank of India on August 29, 2025. This adds to the company's existing lender base of 32 institutions, which also includes HDFC Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank. Moneyboxx has cumulatively raised over INR 12 billion in debt funding to date. The company operates 163 branches across 12 states and provides secured and unsecured business loans ranging from INR 1 lakh to INR 25 lakhs.
This debt raise from India's largest public sector bank strengthens Moneyboxx's lending capacity for growth in under-served rural and semi-urban markets. The validation from SBI is a positive credit signal, though it remains a routine debt raise rather than an equity event, so no dilution or capital structure change is expected for shareholders.
