Muthoot Capital Services has raised ₹57.44 crores by selling (assigning) its two-wheeler loan receivables worth ₹59.22 crores to investors through a securitization transaction on January 1, 2026. This was done in multiple tranches and follows RBI guidelines for such assignments. The entire loan pool comes from the non-priority sector, meaning these are not loans to weaker sections or small farmers. This is the fourth such securitization or direct assignment transaction the company has carried out in the current financial year (FY 2025-26). Securitization is a common way for NBFCs to convert their loan assets into immediate cash for lending or operations.
This is a routine funding activity for the NBFC, helping it convert loan assets into cash to support further lending and business growth. Short-term positive for liquidity, neutral for long-term shareholders as it is part of normal operations.
