Muthoot Finance reported record results with consolidated gold loan AUM at INR 1,65,000 crores (up 54% YoY) and standalone PAT of INR 10,134 crores (up 95%). Consolidated PAT reached INR 10,607 crores, up 98% YoY. The company declared highest-ever dividend of INR 30 per share (300%). Management noted yield improvement to 20.76% from 20.34% last quarter due to pricing increases and one-offs including INR 50 crore auction income and INR 35 crore ARC income. Average LTV stands at 57%. Stage 2 and Stage 3 increased due to RBI's new borrower-wise classification requirement, but management confirmed underlying asset quality is stable. Customer base declined ~2-3% as smaller ticket customers migrated to higher ticket sizes—a natural portfolio churn effect. Branch expansion guidance: 200-300 for Muthoot Finance and 200 gold branches for Belstar.
Strong quarter with near-doubling of profits, though management declined to provide margin guidance and explicitly avoided answering questions on competitive strategy and subsidiary expansion rationale. Yield of 20%+ includes one-offs; sustainable level unclear as management retained flexibility on pricing.
