Muthoot Microfin reported strong Q4 FY26 results with PAT of ₹711 Mn, up 117.7% YoY, driven by improved asset quality and higher margins. Full year PAT reached ₹1,703 Mn, a 176.5% jump from FY25. AUM grew 13.3% YoY to ₹1,40,056 Mn with disbursements rising 46.8% YoY to ₹28,767 Mn. NIM improved to 12.0% (up 104 bps YoY) while credit cost dropped sharply to 2.8% from 20.8% a year ago. GNPA improved 95 bps to 3.89% and NNPA declined to 1.14%. The company maintained strong 95% customer retention and expanded its MSEL (Small Enterprise Loan) portfolio to over ₹23,000 Mn. Digital collections now account for 34% of total collections, up from 28% in Q3.
The company demonstrated a sharp turnaround in profitability with ROE improving to 10.1% from 3.4% YoY, driven by better margins and lower credit costs. Management has guided for continued improvement in FY27 with AUM growth of 12-15%, NIM of 12.3-12.5%, and ROE of 12-15%, indicating confidence in sustained performance.
