Punjab National Bank (PNB) reported its provisional Q1 FY26 business numbers. Global Business stood at Rs. 27.19 lakh crore, up 11.6% year-on-year and 1.4% quarter-on-quarter. Global Deposits grew 12.8% YoY to Rs. 15.88 lakh crore, while Global Advances rose 9.9% YoY to Rs. 11.31 lakh crore. Domestic Business grew 11.1% YoY to Rs. 26.17 lakh crore, with domestic deposits up 12.2% and domestic advances up 9.7%. The Credit-to-Deposit (CD) ratio stood at 71.20%, broadly stable from 71.28% in March 2025 but lower than 73.05% a year ago. Figures are provisional and subject to statutory auditor review.
The double-digit YoY growth in both deposits and advances indicates healthy business expansion, with deposits outpacing advances slightly. The stable CD ratio near regulatory comfort levels is positive, though the slowing credit growth relative to deposits may be mildly watched by investors. Overall, a steady operational update with no major surprises; full Q1 results will be needed for deeper insight into profitability and asset quality.
