Punjab & Sind Bank reported its provisional business update for the quarter ended December 31, 2025. Total business stood at Rs. 2,49,691 crore, up 11.84% year-on-year and 3.49% sequentially. Gross advances grew strongly by 15.25% YoY to Rs. 1,10,488 crore, significantly outpacing deposit growth of 9.27% YoY (deposits at Rs. 1,39,203 crore). CASA deposits improved to Rs. 43,182 crore, raising the CASA share to 31.02% from 30.31% in the previous quarter. The Credit-Deposit (CD) ratio expanded to 79.37% from 75.25% a year ago, indicating higher deployment of deposits into advances. The figures are provisional and subject to audit by the Central Statutory Auditors.
Strong double-digit loan growth and an improving CD ratio signal healthy credit demand and better asset utilisation, which are positive indicators for the bank's earnings outlook. Shareholders may view this as constructive, though the numbers remain provisional pending audit.
