Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has received a Letter of Acceptance from IRCON International Limited for railway signalling and telecommunications work. The scope covers supply and installation of Electronic Interlocking systems at 10 stations and 6 Intermediate Block Signalling (IBS) locations in the Bhingra-Putuwa-Matin-Sendurgarh-Putipakhana-Bhadi-Dhangawan-Pendra Road block sections, along with a new Section Control System on the Gevra Road-Pendra Road section, telephone exchange work, and modifications at Kusmunda and SECL SILO Siding yards. The contract is valued at approximately Rs 178.65 crore (inclusive of taxes, transportation, and insurance) and is to be completed within 11 months including the monsoon period. The order is from a domestic government entity and is not a related party transaction.
The order adds to RVNL's existing order book in its core railway infrastructure business. At ~Rs 179 crore, it is a modest-sized contract and likely represents less than 1% of RVNL's annual revenue, so limited direct impact on stock price, though it reinforces the company's role as a key execution arm for Indian Railways and PSU-led signalling projects.
