SAL Automotive Limited announced its unaudited Q1 FY26 results (quarter ended 30 June 2025). Net Profit after Tax jumped to Rs. 539 lakhs from Rs. 148 lakhs in the same quarter last year, a growth of around 264%. Total Income was largely flat at Rs. 10,020 lakhs versus Rs. 10,003 lakhs in Q1 FY25, while Income from Operations stood at Rs. 8,811 lakhs. Profit Before Tax surged to Rs. 787 lakhs from Rs. 210 lakhs in Q1 FY25, reflecting much lower raw material and operating costs. Earnings per share for the quarter came in at Rs. 6.17 versus Rs. 3.44 in Q1 FY25 on a post-bonus comparable basis. The company also completed a 1:1 bonus issue in April 2025, doubling paid-up equity share capital to Rs. 480 lakhs. Statutory auditor Mangla Associates issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications or observations.
Sharp profit growth on near-flat revenue signals strong margin expansion, which is positive for shareholders despite no top-line growth. The recent bonus issue improves share liquidity and retail affordability, which could support interest in the stock.
