SBFC Finance has shared a credit rating update from India Ratings and Research for its non-convertible debenture programme. The agency has assigned IND AA-/Stable (Double A Minus, Stable Outlook) to NCDs worth ₹700 crore, which includes ₹300 crore of unutilised limit. The previous total rated amount was ₹1,000 crore, indicating a reduction in the overall NCD programme size. In the annexure, two NCDs (totalling ₹200 crore) have been marked as withdrawn (WD), with at least one redeemed ahead of its original maturity date. The rating letter was issued on 6 August 2025 and received by the company the next day.
The rating remains unchanged at AA- with a Stable outlook, signalling continued creditworthiness for retail investors. The reduction in the rated NCD programme size and the withdrawal of certain NCDs suggest the company has prepaid or redeemed some of its outstanding debt, which is a mildly positive signal for its balance sheet management.
