CARE Ratings (CARE Edge) has assigned 'CARE A1' — the highest tier in its short-term rating scale — to Senco Gold's short-term bank facilities of Rs 50 crore. CARE A1 indicates very strong capacity to meet short-term financial commitments. This is an effective improvement from the company's prior short-term rating of ICRA A2+(Stable), reflecting consistent financial discipline. Senco's total operating income grew at a CAGR of ~19% from Rs 2,661 crore in FY21 to Rs 6,334 crore in FY25, with H1FY26 revenue at Rs 3,362 crore and a strong PBILDT margin of 8.63%. Net overall gearing improved from 1.00x in FY21 to 0.86x in FY25, supported by equity raises including an IPO in July 2023 and a QIP in Dec 2024. The company has expanded its showroom footprint aggressively to 196 stores across India and 2 in Dubai.
Positive for shareholders — receiving the highest short-term credit rating signals strong financial health and credibility with lenders, which can help lower borrowing costs and support the company's continued pan-India expansion plans.
