Senco Gold reported a strong start to FY26, with Q1 revenue rising 30% year-on-year to ₹1,826.2 crore, the highest-ever Q1 topline. Profit after tax more than doubled to ₹104.6 crore, up about 102% YoY, while EBITDA grew 68.6% YoY to ₹183.5 crore with margins improving to 10% from 7.7% a year ago. Same-store sales growth stood at an impressive 19.6%, helped by festive demand from Akshay Tritiya and Poila Baishakh despite a 32% YoY rise in gold prices. The company added 10 new showrooms in the quarter, taking the total network to 186 showrooms across 17 states plus Dubai. Management has guided for 18–20% revenue growth, 6.8–7.2% EBITDA margin and 3.7–4.0% PAT margin going forward.
A strong across-the-board quarterly beat with doubling of profits, healthy store expansion, and positive forward guidance is likely to be viewed positively by investors. The improved stud ratio and margin expansion suggest operating leverage is kicking in, though rising gold prices remain a key watchpoint for the jewellery sector.
