ICRA has assigned and reaffirmed credit ratings for several debt instruments of SG Finserve Limited, all carrying [ICRA]AA(CE)(Stable) with credit enhancement support from a corporate guarantee by S Gupta Holding Private Limited. New ratings were assigned to long-term bank facilities of Rs 1,144 crore and a proposed Rs 456 crore bank facility, while Rs 700 crore of existing bank facilities were reaffirmed. A Rs 300 crore term loan (Axis Bank Rs 200 crore, Karnataka Bank Rs 100 crore) received a final rating after conversion from provisional. Non-convertible debentures of Rs 150 crore (provisional) and Rs 50 crore were reaffirmed, and the Rs 200 crore commercial paper programme was reaffirmed at the top-tier [ICRA]A1+. The standalone rating without the credit enhancement stands at [ICRA]A+ with a Stable outlook.
The reaffirmations and new assignments at the AA(CE) level signal continued strong credit quality for lenders, supported by the parent guarantee, which should keep borrowing costs stable. For shareholders, this is a neutral-to-positive signal indicating that the company's debt-raising ability remains intact, though the ratings are largely dependent on the guarantee from S Gupta Holding Private Limited rather than the standalone credit profile.
