Shoppers Stop Limited reported FY2026 consolidated revenue of Rs 5,043 Crores, up 9% from Rs 4,628 Crores in the previous year. However, the company posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 36.09 Crores compared to a profit of Rs 10.89 Crores in FY2025. The standalone net loss stood at Rs 46.24 Crores. Q4 standalone revenue was Rs 1,117 Crores with a net loss of Rs 18.28 Crores. The board approved an additional investment of up to Rs 40 Crores in Global SS Beauty Brands Limited (wholly-owned subsidiary engaged in beauty retail), taking total investment in GSSBBL to Rs 150 Crores. Mr. Arun Sirdeshmukh was reappointed as Independent Director for a second 5-year term from October 2026. PwC was reappointed as internal auditors for one year. The statutory auditors issued an unmodified opinion, though they noted a pending service tax dispute of Rs 20.11 Crores (consolidated) pending Supreme Court decision.
The company reported strong topline growth but swung to a loss due to higher costs including a one-time Rs 17.69 Crore provision impact from the new labor code. The Rs 40 Crore additional investment in the beauty subsidiary signals continued expansion focus in the beauty segment despite losses.
