Shriram Finance Limited has allotted 10,000 senior, secured, rated, listed, redeemable, taxable Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) via private placement. The NCDs carry a face value of Rs. 1 lakh each with an issue size of Rs. 100 crores. The coupon rate is 9.15% p.a. payable annually, with an effective yield of 7.73% (issued at a premium of Rs 3,268.19 per debenture). Interest payment dates are January 19, 2027; January 19, 2028; and maturity on January 19, 2029. The NCDs are secured and will be listed on the BSE WDM segment. Proceeds will be used for augmenting long-term resources, onward lending, refinancing existing debt, and general corporate purposes.
This is a routine debt issuance by Shriram Finance to raise long-term capital. The 9.15% coupon rate is in line with current market rates for secured NCDs of established NBFCs. The issuance has no direct equity impact but strengthens the company's lending capacity.
