Shriram Finance has allotted 48,500 senior, secured, listed, redeemable, taxable Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) on a private placement basis, raising Rs. 485 crores. The NCDs carry a fixed annual coupon of 9.2330% and are issued at a premium of Rs. 2,494.50 per debenture, giving an effective yield of 7.75%. The tenure is about 1 year 10 months 18 days, with maturity on May 18, 2027, and annual interest payments. The NCDs will be listed on the WDM segment of BSE. Proceeds will be used to augment long-term resources for lending, refinancing existing debt, and general corporate purposes, in line with RBI requirements.
This is a routine private debt placement by the NBFC to support its lending book and does not directly affect equity shareholders. The 7.75% effective yield reflects Shriram Finance's strong credit profile, and the issuance is part of a previously communicated fund-raising plan of up to Rs. 500 crores for the May–July 2025 quarter.
