Star Health has published its audited financial results for Q4 FY25 and full year FY25 in Business Standard (English) and Dinamani (Tamil) on May 1, 2025, as required by SEBI listing rules. For the full year ended March 31, 2025, total income from operations (gross written premium) stood at ₹16,781 crore, up about 10% from ₹15,254 crore in FY24. Net profit after tax for FY25 jumped to ₹1,129 crore from ₹845 crore in FY24, a growth of roughly 34%. Basic EPS for the year rose to ₹22.04 from ₹14.19. For Q4 FY25 alone, the company reported a net profit of ₹190 crore, up about 33% from ₹142 crore in Q4 FY24, on gross premium of ₹5,138 crore. Net worth stood at ₹7,022 crore with a debt-equity ratio of 0.07, indicating a largely debt-free balance sheet.
The strong FY25 profit growth of around 34% and 55% jump in annual EPS is a positive signal for shareholders, showing improved profitability despite modest premium growth. The results are already known from the April 29 board meeting, so the stock is unlikely to move sharply on this newspaper publication itself.
