SBI has submitted its BRSR for FY 2025-26 under the theme 'Powering India's Sustainable Future'. The bank surpassed its green advances target, reaching 2.83% of Domestic Gross Advances (vs 2.51% target), with green advances more than doubling to ₹1,18,723 crore. The bank aims to increase green assets to 7.5% of domestic portfolio by 2030. Key metrics include financing >59GW of renewable energy capacity, maintaining 67% market share in rooftop solar financing under PM Surya Ghar Yojana, and launching CHAKRA (Centre of Excellence for Sunrise Sectors) in January 2026. The bank operates 23,265 domestic branches and 245 overseas offices serving 53+ crore customers, with 98.7% transactions through digital channels. CSR spend stood at ₹709.01 crore with Net Profit of ₹80,032 crore.
The strong ESG performance and exceeding green financing targets reinforce SBI's leadership in sustainable banking in India, which could attract ESG-focused investors and support the bank's aspiration to rank among the world's top 10 banks by market capitalisation by 2030.
