SBI Board gets four new shareholder directors for 3-year term

SBI has informed the exchange about the election of four shareholder directors under Section 19(c) of the SBI Act, 1955. The new directors are Sandeep Natwarlal Shah (Chartered Accountant with 40+ years of experience), Dr. Sandhya Shekhar (digital strategy expert and former CEO of IIT Madras Research Park), K.R. Ashok (former Executive Director of LIC) and Khurshed Rustom Dordi (ex-Managing Director and Group COO India at Deutsche Bank). They will serve a 3-year term from 26 June 2026 to 25 June 2029. No relationships exist between them and none are debarred by SEBI.
Routine governance update. Adds diverse expertise across finance, insurance, technology and global banking to the board. No material impact on the stock expected.
